If you feel that you are not getting what you want from life, and most of your desires remain after a long time just castles in the air, then know that there is a way to change the current state of affairs. And the following exercise will help with this. It can clarify for you the reasons for what is happening, as well as improve your condition. What needs to be done for this? First, make a list of your wishes, whatever comes to mind, in any order. It does not matter. Moreover, it does not matter whether these things are abstract or not, material or spiritual, emotional or intellectual. Spend as much time as you feel necessary on making your list, but not so much time that you get bogged down in the first step. Second, you begin to clear your list by sifting through what is far from your sphere of influence. For example, the desire to establish peace on planet Earth is most likely one of those that you are unlikely to significantly influence. In this case, it is recommended to replace it with a desire, for example, to establish peace with your loved ones and do everything in your power for this. Third, cross off items from the list that require changing the past. (It's a waste of time.) They can be replaced by desires to improve your present, i.e. existing conditions. Fourth, exclude everything that requires special actions from other people (so that my dad or mom will do me good, find a groom, a bride, make me happy, so that my husband will save me from loneliness, etc.) i.e. trying to influence them in a certain way, to manipulate them as if your happiness depends on them. Fifth, free yourself from desires that only confuse your life and do not bring any benefit. Sixth, when you remove from the list what does not suit you, rewrite the remaining items in order of importance. This is what you want. Now you know where to direct your attention and what to spend your energy on. Review and check the list from time to time. Add new items if you are sure that this is necessary, cross out what you have achieved or what you no longer want. Keep the list as long as it helps you understand what you really want. What's next and how else can you help here? Perhaps, here's what you can do to streamline your efforts and set priorities, at least for now. Divide your entire wish list into three groups. In the first group, include long-term desires, the implementation of which will require a long time, for example, several years, and maybe decades: defend a doctoral dissertation, build a big house on the seashore or buy real estate in some Mediterranean country, become president, get “ Nobel", for example. In the second group, include those items whose implementation will take you from several weeks to several months. These will be medium-term desires and goals. And in the third group, add those items that can be completed or implemented in the near future - within a few hours today, tomorrow, the day after tomorrow. For example, making peace with someone with whom you are in a quarrel. And one last thing. It is important to take the first step, and without postponing this action until later. It is recommended that you begin to implement the points from the “current desires” section without delay, immediately, here and now. Good luck! PS There is one, important condition - the unconscious. Be attentive to it, because not everything that is declared on a conscious level as a desire is consistent with it. What this means will now become clear. For example, an overweight person states that he would like to lose weight. And in reality, he does not lose weight, even if he fulfills certain conditions - plays sports, limits himself in food, etc. It turns out that on an unconscious level, fatness for him is a sign of solidity and importance, stable income, etc. Those. unconsciously he is not going to lose weight. Or another example..
