Today, December 27, is a holiday - Rescuer Day! I want to congratulate all the courageous, valiant, courageous rescuers and those involved in this difficult task! And I also suggest that on this psychological site of ours we reflect on who they are - rescuers? I now mean not the psychological type from the Karpman triangle, not a figurative image, but people who actually choose such a profession. What do you think about this? Write in the comments? Working with students who have decided to become a rescuer, I observe a lot... It seems that they are the same girls and boys - very different, the same generation of gadget lovers, lovers of strange music that is not music, just as selfish and who know their own boundaries (though they have little understanding of those of others)), like other students. We have other specialties in our college - and all our students are just modern youth, with their own individuality, difference... But what is it about our girls and boys that inspired them to choose such a difficult and dangerous profession? We can assume that those who do not really value health and life become rescuers and firefighters... But no. Our guys have such enthusiasm, and even some passion for life, which distinguishes them. They are happy to participate in all sorts of “movements”. I remember how hard it was for me to convince some other students to do this. And these - please sing or dance at a concert, sign up for a volunteer group - right away, work in the press service - with pleasure, go on a hike, jump with a parachute - they are also ready. Maybe it’s the love of life, the ability to feel its taste, hear its pulse that directs the guys to save lives and dedicate their lives to this? Also, many of our students with difficult childhoods are from single-parent families with problematic parents, orphans. And even if, according to a questionnaire with his family, everything seems to be fine with a teenager, then in a sincere conversation you can find out so much... And these childhood traumas, I think, force a person to constantly prove himself strong, very good, not just good, but a savior, which is almost the essence of a Savior, to become in the image and likeness of God, almost perfect and constantly proving his valor? Or do they really want to make the world different, better and nobler, and not the way they once knew it? These are hypotheses, reasoning... Meanwhile, the guys learn to climb onto a climbing wall and remove the victim on a cable, remove people from the carriage with smoke, run through fire, put on heavy combat boots at speed, that is, they train to not only be there in a difficult moment, not to be wizards - they will be able to help you stay alive. Happy holiday to our Rescuers! (Photo is mine, photographed by our students specifically for this postcard)
