Crises are stressful and traumatic situations when we find ourselves deprived of everything that is familiar and safe for us. This is complete instability from which any outcome is possible. A kind of test of our supply of vitality and strength. Such moments are truly difficult to live through, and sometimes simply unbearable, and it is unlikely that anyone would prefer something like this to a calm period of life. However, we often learn more during times of adversity than at other times in life. Transformation and learning often coincide with the experience of loss, anxiety, sadness and confusion - and we must learn to somehow transform the experience into something good . The starting point of great achievements was often life crises. We cannot choose a quiet life all the time, and life itself without pain and failure is almost impossible. Which life is better? A life well lived or a life lived in hatred and regrets - it becomes clear only after overcoming the crisis and looking openly at one’s own defeats. Although sometimes, when everything is unbearably difficult, it is better to give up, let go of the situation for a while and even give up on it for a moment. Letting go of our hands may be the best way forward, as we will find deep within ourselves a new and stronger foundation on which we can begin to build a worthwhile and meaningful future. It may be worth letting go of the pretense of trying to control everything, taking a break from our efforts to seem everyone happy - and maybe then we can feel some kind of liberation. Ultimately, only by diving into the depths of our lives and ourselves will we be able to understand the very basis of reality. But this does not mean that we should allow ourselves to fall sharply into the abyss and become martyrs or victims. Rather, it is about experiencing defeat and despair, seeing the light at the end of this dark time and understanding when and how we must step out and prove ourselves again. This is where psychotherapy comes to our aid.
