Did you know that it is emotional intelligence that guides intellectual states that can instantly disperse thinking abilities and literally “erase” memory... And feelings can also cause unprecedented concentration, creativity and productivity of mental processes, imagination, abilities for logic, analysis, comparison and unprecedented intuition For little children, everything is simple: joy, delight, ecstasy; sadness-grief-longing-despair; anxiety-fear-horror; anger-rage. There are not so many of these sensations, but in a huge range of levels of living! Then we grow up and the “fan” of emotions, feelings and states increases, although the severity of living decreases. The normal range for an adult is from 27 and almost to infinity, if everything was normal and there is no alexithymia. What about those who live with the prohibition of feelings? Or difficulties with recognizing them? A very simple practice will help you establish contact with your Feelings and States (ES). Most of my clients do the “Emergency Exercise”, noticing in surprise how the ability to feel and be aware of internal processes and emotions changes many areas of life 3-5- 7 times a day, it’s enough to stop for a minute or two, determining what is NOW happening in the body: hungry/tired/excited/I’m hot/thirsty/on edge/eyes sticking together/sweating, etc. 3-5-7 is enough. Then also decide on feelings and emotions. To make it easier to navigate, first I suggest using “cheat sheets” that you can print out, take from the Internet, or make yourself postcards-tips. In addition to improving EI, the ability to recognize, accept, and control your emotions , you will develop empathy. Understanding another person will be like reading a book. A bonus will be the recognition of your own ambivalence. Some earlier, some later, but everyone, becoming sensitive and attentive to themselves, notices that you can be in joy and anxiety at the same time, you can experience love , anxiety and anger in “one bottle”. And the more such “bouquets” are tracked, the more mature the Adult part of a person becomes. Sensitivity to yourself, loved ones, the world, and ordinary human happiness!
