From the author: a series of classes of the spiritual and educational project “School of FATHERHOOD” is a very competent thing! Join us! Dear fathers, mothers, children, grandfathers and grandmothers, the next cycle of classes of the spiritual and educational project “School of FATHERHOOD” is coming to an end. The organizers of the School appeal to everyone interested in the topic of building a family with the participation of the father as the true head of the family. EVERYONE is invited! We draw the attention of those who took part in of our classes and wants to meet at a round table with the Organizers on the issues that interest you. The next meeting on the topic: “Fathers fulfilling their obligations” (Acquaintance with the methods and means of fulfilling paternal obligations in family life makes it possible to study ways to realize fatherhood using spiritual and moral “keys” and “tools”: “prayer”, “fasting”, “forgiveness”, “repentance”, “love”, “service”, etc. Fulfilling fatherly duty (or obligations of fathers) is a practical stage of fatherhood, which is manifested through responsibility, service and love, which is the source, goal and means of fulfilling fatherhood. The obligations of fathers are considered, i.e. their ability and willingness to bear responsibility for relationships in the family, as well as for the father’s relationship with the environment. This topic could become a practical part of the spiritual and moral development of the father’s personality in the family). It will take place on December 16, 2013 (Mon.), 18-00 – 21-00. Minsk, Berestyanskaya, 17, “House of Orthodox Books” (metro station “Yakub Kolas Square”) During the past classes, students had the opportunity to survey the “territory” of fatherhood and compare their understanding of the father’s participation in his own family and the severity of the general problem of the crisis of the modern family, rethink the unique role and place of the father in the family, as well as deepen the understanding of the category of “fatherhood” in oneself, in the family and in society as the most important activity for men. The School's classes showed that there is a need for fathers to study their functions, their position in the family and society, as well as to reconsider existing relationships in families. Each father “reveals” how to fully take on the creation of his fatherhood. The main building blocks here can be: participation, consistency, awareness, care, etc. School helps strengthen the desire and readiness to fulfill their responsibilities as a father on the path to authentic and mature fatherhood: in the first stage, fathers learn to claim children as “theirs”, which gives children have a sense of belonging to their father and family, as well as a sense of security. Making decisions regarding their family (children) in accordance with the best intentions of fathers, and then the actions of fathers to implement the decisions made, form their dedication to their families throughout their lives. Fathers' awareness of the need to develop key qualities in themselves (protector, provider, head, educator, mentor, servant, owner, creator, etc.) makes them more responsible participants in family building. Developing spiritual experience through humility, repentance and forgiveness allows you to overcome detachment, get closer to your family, and gain the experience of genuine relationships with God and your neighbors. At the same time, the relationship “fatherhood - sonship” is the most important (and most problematic) relationship in the family. Without accepting and practicing Christian truths, cultivating true fatherhood within the family and in society becomes backbreaking work. The use of paternal authority in the family on spiritual and moral grounds strengthens the authority (power) of fathers, which allows one to resolve many family problems.
