This is a state where which we should strive for in every moment of our lives..." I can consider myself one of the happy people, because my favorite activity and work coincide! Psychological counseling gives me drive, inspiration, and a feeling of joy. For me, consulting and everything connected with it is a very creative process that uses all my knowledge, experience, and efforts in a single impulse. After all, you never know what and with what request a person will come to you. This is always a challenge that I am interested in accepting, and having already accepted, join the process of deciphering the problem and the path to what I want, together with the client! And my favorite activity did not immediately become my main job, I went to this through fears and doubts, listening to myself, delaying time. Now I want to help as many people as possible find and find their favorite activity, which gives meaning to life and a resource for the soul. To help crystallize the inner, I offer materials from the article “Create Every Day,” which describes the results of research by psychologist Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, author of the book Flow: The Psychology of Optimal Experience (Harper and Row, 1990): Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi argues against the conventional wisdom that the path to happiness lies through desire gratification and carefree consumption. For 30 years, he interviewed thousands of people from different countries, trying to understand what makes them happy, and became convinced that we feel best when we make the most of our strengths and talents to achieve a meaningful goal. Then happiness becomes an integral part of life - active, meaningful happiness that turns everyday life into real pleasure. Csikszentmihalyi calls it a “flow state.” It turned out that we feel happy not when we eat a cake or laze on the beach, but when we make the most of our capabilities and talents. It is this creative state that Csikszentmihalyi calls “flow”: in it, we feel better than ever and do the best we can. In these moments, we become one with what we are doing, forgetting about time and worries. Together with his students, Csikszentmihalyi filmed and then analyzed the testimonies of people who learned to draw energy and joy from this state. Based on 91 interviews, he identified ways that can help everyone achieve a state of “flow”: 1) Open up to small joys “Since very often we find ourselves buried under many everyday problems, and the need to simply survive becomes an obsession, we have no mental energy left to create, learn, create new things. How to be? First of all, you need to maintain curiosity about life and be interested in a variety of things without a particular goal. We are talking about the simplest things: listening and hearing what a colleague or partner is saying, feeling the breeze on your face, admiring the reflection of clouds on a glass facade. at home, watch a child playing with a puppy. If we manage to be surprised every day, we will definitely feel new strength."2) Allow yourself to change.
