At the beginning of contact with a person, each of us tries to present ourselves in a way that, in our opinion, will help us interact best with this person. You may want to increase or decrease your capabilities, try to seem more friendly or, on the contrary, more aggressive. But after this initial presentation, it turns out that this presentation does not exhaust everything that you are. It happens that a person who wanted to seem aggressive and cynical turns out to be romantic and vulnerable, and aggression and cynicism help him hide his vulnerability and experience it. If a person is presented , as kind and all-helpful, then this may be because the opposite of this is considered by him to be incorrect or not acceptable. And then it turns out that a conflict of presentation occurs in a person, and a crisis ensues. The crisis is not pleasant, because with it you feel frustration. You feel that what is happening is somehow not satisfactory, not suitable. People, being in contact with a person who is in crisis, notice that under the mask there is some kind of opposite. And then the person in crisis can somehow remain to take risks and present himself with something that, as it seems to him, is not acceptable. Because for others in his environment this may be acceptable and even in this he may be valuable to other people. A psychologist can help in presenting himself in this way. Because in a safe atmosphere it is easier to try something new, and you can also get careful feedback. It is important to survive a crisis. At first, a crisis causes a shock, since the demands of the surrounding world become high, that is, the world requires him to adapt faster than a person is ready. A crisis is a zone of opportunity for development, but it can also be dangerous. In a crisis, it may be important to stay in experiences of powerlessness and helplessness. And interest and excitement, the desire to cope with the crisis help to get through the crisis. What we fear most is what we want most. Interest ends the crisis.
