How did our mothers decorate the Christmas tree? How did we prepare for the New Year as children? Usually the head of the family went for the green beauty. He chose pine, spruce - whatever was “given”, and solemnly brought home the frozen tree that smelled of pine needles. They prepared a stand for the Christmas tree, brought a box with old, but very beautiful Christmas tree decorations from the attic. And then the real action began: noise, hustle and bustle! A joyful dog, covered in serpentine, runs underfoot and gets in everyone’s way. The cunning cat jumped onto the not yet cleaned up Christmas tree and fiddled with the stars from the electric garland with its paw. How this pre-holiday ritual united the family! Toys were passed from hand to hand. Mom walked away every now and then to look at the decoration of the Christmas tree from the side. The children actively participated in this magical process, and no one got tired. Flushed cheeks, partial early consumption of tangerines, which were wrapped in multi-colored foil and hung on the top branches. Jokes, laughter, arguments - how best to hang balloons and toy bunnies. No one looked at the smartphone. Yes, and they had previously prepared seriously for the New Year’s feast. The products were “taken out” in advance and stored in the refrigerator until the New Year. Brands of the Soviet era: the famous Olivier salad, herring under a fur coat - no one has yet “surpassed”. And the legendary “Soviet champagne” fully corresponded to the slogan: “Soviet means the best.” What is characteristic is that at that time there was no idea that some products could be harmful. That you need to lose weight, and someone doesn’t fit into the standards of an ideal figure. Perhaps the hungry post-war years were still fresh in my memory, when any food was perceived as almost a gift from God. Nowadays, Christmas trees are decorated somewhat sluggishly. Rarely does this process turn into action. Often one of the older family members removes the tree themselves. Sometimes an artificial Christmas tree with a ready-made set of toys is purchased. The magic of joint family rituals has slowly disappeared somewhere. Families have become more separated, young people, as a rule, strive to celebrate the New Year separately. What if we remember such lovely family traditions that are a thing of the past? Should we all once again plunge into the holiday atmosphere together and have fun from the heart? Eat "jellied fish" to your heart's content? You'll see that problems, often far-fetched, will go away, your mood will appear, your relationship will improve. And after all the good fun at home, it suddenly becomes clear that there were no problems at all. And most importantly, they will not be there now, when you felt, as in childhood, the care of your mother, the support of your sisters and brothers. Touched live the power of your Family.
