From the author: The article was written as a recommendation for participants in the project of the Department of Municipal Payments and Work with the Population of Volgograd (social protection), the purpose of which is assistance in social adaptation children raised in closed institutions (orphanages and boarding schools), which is provided by successful people of the city. How to communicate with a child raised in a closed children's institution. What you need to know about the characteristics of children: Numerous studies of the characteristics of the mental development of children raised in closed children's institutions allow us to identify such common features as: 1. features of the internal position (weak focus on the future)2. emotional flatness (impoverishment of the emotional world)3. simplified and impoverished content of the self-image, 4. reduced attitude towards oneself, 5. lack of formation of selectivity (bias) in relation to adults, peers and the objective world, 6. impulsiveness, unawareness and lack of independence of behavior, 7. situational thinking and behavior and much more. Therefore, if you are going to communicate with such children, you should not expect a stormy meeting, emotional reactions, or rich stories from children about themselves. Most likely, children will behave according to the situation, based on their own ideas and experience. If you are preparing information material or making a presentation for children from an orphanage, I think the following recommendations will be useful to you in preparing the material: 1. Try to distribute the material into blocks and arrange it with visual and figurative accompaniment. It will be interesting if, within the framework of your topic, the guys can practically do something together with you, this will allow them to consolidate the material and create emotionally charged, joyful moments that will enrich the guys with memories, in addition, they will be able to teach their comrades what you taught them. 2. When starting a performance or lesson, it should be taken into account that most children have a narrow and poor content of motives; in most cases, motivation arises “here and now” according to the situation that has arisen. Therefore, you should not expect high interest for half an hour, especially if the children are just listeners. Now, if you announce a competition, it is better to participate in another competition, for example, a city competition, where the obligatory conditions will be his activity and your accompaniment, oh... then you will see attention and efficiency from the children. And this state of affairs will allow you to solve some problems: you will diversify the content of motives, expand time perspectives that are usually focused on the present, in a word, focus on the future. If you do something together, make sure you have helpers. And remember: 1. First I do, you watch. 2. We do it together. 3. You do, I evaluate. 4. You do it yourself and evaluate it yourself. 3. In a conversation with children, demonstrate your “I-concept” (What am I?, remember how children say: I am a princess, and as Shrek said: “I am like an onion”), cultivate self-respect and self-acceptance in them, praise for the result. The thing is that children raised in orphanages have a weak “I-concept”; they focus their self-esteem on “We”, in most cases identifying themselves with their fellow orphanages and thus do not see their individuality and do not demonstrate her.4. An important point in the material is the question of gender identity, because girls, in most cases, have to “survive” among their peers, and boys do not know what duty and responsibility are. Demonstrate, for example: women should be feminine and men should be strong. Tell us about the duties that you had to perform at home, about the rules of etiquette. Create support for a positive standard, and not a negative one, as is usually the case with orphanages.5. Don’t expect trust from the guys, be prepared to answer questions, and therefore it’s better=408
