No condition lasts forever. Everything is passing. Both happy and sad. This is useful to remember. In order not to fall into depression and in order to take strength when this strength is not there. For example, do this if you are attacked by thoughts that you are a loser. It didn’t work out here, it didn’t last there, it could have been better and more beautiful and more efficient, and in general, where did several years of life go? As if someone had thrown it into a trash can. Sad and hard. However, salvation is not only in the fact that “this too shall pass,” salvation is also in talent, a predisposition to something. If you have (and you definitely have) at least something that works out without much effort and how - of course - rejoice. Because this is your salvation. I’ll explain now. The fact is that when we were born we had dreams. Fantasies. Favourite buisness. And then we grew up and somehow very quietly wanted to become directors. And even better - the director is the director, so that no one will outdo him. And make mom and dad proud. We decided and that was the end of it. In pursuit of recognition and love, we have become “achievers.” Achieve everything. To be the best, or at least not the last, everywhere. And the trick is that this “everywhere” blurs our true love for something. This something ceases to be something unique. And often it seems completely unnecessary, because it’s not as cool as being the “director of the director.” Suppose Mikhail really likes to rebuild the engine of his car. Buying spare parts for it, sitting on a forum dedicated to cars, going to races - somehow in between. But he works in a bank. And in the same bank he dreams of becoming the head of some department. And Mikhail’s friend likes to shoot a pistol at a shooting range or club. But since Mikhail is a friend, he must also be able to love! fire. And dad Mikhail has an expensive car. Mikhail is his father’s son, so his life should be no worse. And Mikhail’s wife loves the mountains. Well, that means Mikhail is also ready to love them. And Mikhail’s relatives like to come to him for holidays with the whole family, so the kitchen should be bigger, and the renovation should be better, so that it wouldn’t be embarrassing. From time to time, Mikhail experiences a loss of strength, depression and feels like a failure. There’s no cool car, you can’t shoot a gun and it’s scary, the kitchen is small, the mountains make you sick, you’re still not the boss at the bank. Conclusion - Mikhail is a real loser. Question. Is this true? At this point you want to bang your head against the wall. You have already guessed, friends, that all of the above is not Mikhail’s desires. And he doesn’t need to achieve them. And therefore they are not achieved, because they are not his! The answer is on the surface. Mikhail loves to sort out the engine. And he does it easily and naturally. So why isn’t he doing this, but trying to take over the world? This is how failed presidents are born and live. He needs everything, everywhere, and he considers what he actually succeeds to be uncool, unnecessary and not particularly useful. Although this is precisely the path to happiness. This is exactly what Mikhail would be better off doing with the vast majority of his time. So yes: “This too shall pass.” The feeling that you are a failure will only go away when you understand and accept what you are meant for. When you start doing this and developing it. When you start to rejoice that you have something that is truly yours!
