Chapter 2. Pregnancy and childbirth. You worry and worry for good reason. I feel your change of mood, After all, you are growing, living inside me, And I am counting the days until my birthday! Pregnancy, perhaps one of the most interesting processes in living nature. In a woman’s body, a fusion of two cells (a female egg and a male sperm) occurs, through which a new life is born. A new living organism will form and grow within 9 months. During the first 3 months, the formation of the basic vital systems of the unborn child will occur. The remaining 6 months will be spent on growth and development of life systems. To form the most healthy child’s body, it is necessary to limit or completely eliminate bad habits - smoking, drinking alcohol, possibly even medications. Throughout pregnancy, a woman will experience various changes. They will concern appearance, internal well-being, and psychological state. A woman will need special treatment. She needs to provide additional support, take into account her desires, put up with grievances of unknown origin. It's all due to hormonal imbalance in the body. But this does not mean that a woman should become more passive and stop doing what she did before pregnancy. During this period, it is necessary to be able to limit the load and pay more attention to rest. It is also necessary to take advantage of rest, for example, a trip to nature, walks by the water, will have a beneficial effect on the nervous system of both mother and child. In the evening, a relaxing shower (you should not take baths until the 20th week of pregnancy) and listening to light music are also an indispensable means of improving well-being. During pregnancy, as in any other period of life, it is almost impossible to do without quarrels, scandals, insults, anxiety, anger. Any of these negative experiences will affect the child’s development, so you should try to minimize their occurrence. If these negative experiences do not lose their relevance for a long time, then it is possible that they will develop into obsessive states and depression. To prevent these undesirable conditions, it is necessary to contact a psychologist. Case from practice. Vera, 32 years old, lives with her husband, first pregnancy, 7.5 months, came to the appointment. The appeal was about the fear of stillbirth. The appearance of fear was motivated by the case of her close friend, who had such a misfortune. As a result of the work, it was possible to find out that the incident with her friend’s misfortune only exacerbated the already existing fear for her life, which she transferred to her unborn child. Fear for her own life appeared when, at the age of 10, she overheard her mother talking to a friend about how, due to a mistake made during childbirth, the girl miraculously survived. After a session of emotionally figurative therapy, Vera got rid of the haunting fear for her life and the life of the child. To be continued.
