From the author: There was a time when I loved “cool” diaries, branded or very expensive, as well as pens, mugs and other accessories. But times have changed: now I choose feminine, bright and beautiful, I draw mind-maps instead of to-do lists, I plan according to the moon instead of the 1st of the month and I am absolutely happy. Productivity, I must say, has only increased. Basic principles of planning like a woman.1. Choose a method that is pleasant for yourself. There are a great many planning options, it is important to find one that will bring pleasure. For example: A convenient planner in your phone/tablet A planner in an email program, like Outlook A beautiful (!) diary and your favorite (!) pen Various diagrams, mind-maps Stickers (you can go for a walk like this, you can even use hearts!) 2. Set goals for the month on 1 lunar day. I don’t know how it works, there was a time when all I knew about the lunar calendar was that my grandmother used to plant vegetables in her garden according to it as a child. And somehow I came across a book about lunar traditions (as far as I remember, it was Helen Lurie’s Rules of the Moon for Every Day). I was surprised that in ancient times Lunar cycles were used not only for planting vegetables, but also visit a doctor, cut hair, nails, plan housework, plan a diet, start courses of treatment, etc. I am not inclined to mystify and believe in all sorts of “magical” properties, but school knowledge of physics about ebbs, flows and magnetic influences gave me determination: “It was, it wasn’t! I’ll try!” I tried it, this method of planning has caught on with me, and I’ve been using it for many years: I start things on the waxing Moon, finish on the waning Moon. At a minimum, this approach is systematizing. Setting goals once a month and calmly working on them for a month gives a feeling of calm and that same feeling that “everything is going according to plan.” 3. Consider your biorhythms It’s no secret that some are more active in the morning, some in the evening, some sometimes on Tuesday, and sometimes on Thursday. Surely you have favorite days and times when you have a burst of energy. Plan the most important things to do during this time.4. Plan relaxation and pleasure, as well as a routine. It is very important to understand that in your daily routine you have planned not only necessary (tedious) things to do, but also enjoyable activities. This gives strength and energy, motivates you to quickly cope with what you “need” in order to quickly start doing what you “like”5. Take care of your comfort This is a fundamental point. As many authors writing on women's topics say, a woman is filled with energy when she enjoys the process. In psychology, we call this “taking care of yourself.” Create for yourself the conditions in which you are comfortable: take soft, replaceable shoes to work, buy a pack of healthy cookies and delicious tea, if you feel like you are running out of energy in the first half of the day, and it’s oh so far until lunch, bring a warm jacket to the office and place it there if you have drafts, and you tend to always dress lightly, put positive desktop wallpaper, not to mention beautiful stationery. I could go on for a long time, it’s important to make it a rule to ask yourself “What else do I need for my comfort in these conditions? What can I do? How can I take care of myself?” The good old advice of going to bed at the same time and eating on a schedule is also effective and has been proven over the years.6. Combine things. Women, to the extent of their physiology and hormonal background, are great masters at this. It is worth putting this skill at the service of your effectiveness. For example, watching a movie and ironing, listening to music and cooking, listening to an audiobook/webinar/study program and doing a mask and a manicure at the same time. It really works.7. Use short planning methods. I think many people have heard about the “5 minutes” or “15 minutes” method: doing things that you don’t really like or find boring, for a very limited time, but every day. Great for any routine activity:?
