From the author: I am sharing with you the main steps in preparing for a master class for 200 people or more. Perhaps it will be useful for someone. I was invited by TIS Group to conduct a master class for a large group of realtors (205 people) in Tyumen on personal effectiveness. For me, this event became a landmark. Like taking another height, another milestone, another Everest. Stepping out of your comfort zone. Challenge yourself. “What, I said to myself, is weak? Are you afraid?” Therefore, I am sharing with you the main steps in preparing for such an event. Perhaps it will be useful to someone.1. Preparation You need to prepare very much in advance. I was lucky, I had 1 month. Therefore, in my plan, everything was clearly scheduled by week and day, with deadlines. Information on the timing of preparing a speech: if you need to prepare a QUALITY speech in front of a large audience for 1 hour, then on average it will take 5 hours to prepare. I spent 3-5 hours a week preparing for this event. And in 3 weeks everything was ready!2. Presentation slides Pictures and phrases should be short and concise. With a minimum of text. It’s great if some of them are humorous. As a result of working with PowerPoint, I realized how much I still don’t know how to do in this wonderful program (even though I’ve been making slides in it since 2009). Therefore, I will continue to take advice from professionals so that I can be at an even higher level in my next performance. Be better than yourself yesterday!3. Mindset I used self-hypnosis and the “My Hero” Method: this is when I mentally put people next to me who are currently my heroes, my mentors. This time it was Alexander Makarov (business coach, business partner) and Irina Khakamada (no comments here, I think) 4. Support When you are supported by your surroundings, it’s great. It gives strength and energy. This imposes responsibility and motivates. I was supported by my youngest son from the army and a friend through online communication. For which I am very grateful to them. 5. Chips Literally 3 days before the start I realized that in order to attract and bring an element of show, something else was needed. I decided that these would be sweets for activity (correct answers from the audience + participants going on stage) and the main prize - a Certificate with a 50% discount on participation in the open training of our company “Master-Class”. 6. Assistant With such a number of listeners, an assistant is definitely needed. Keeps track of time. Includes music and slides. I even had two of them. Thanks to Anton and Lena from TIS Group.7. HallCheck out the hall in which you will perform in advance. Feel it. Walk around and talk into the microphone. My microphone came out with an overlay. The organizers did not have a headset. I had to hold the microphone in my hand for the entire 3 hours, gesticulate, and write on a flipchart. There is a first time for everything!8. Clothing Of course, it should be businesslike, stylish, comfortable and highlight your advantages. I took a black sheath dress as a basis and bought a new jacket in light colors. It didn’t work out with shoes.. I still couldn’t find a comfortable option. I had to wear short black ankle boots, but they were comfortable and proven. In general, 3 hours on your feet - shoes should be very comfortable.9. On the day of the master class, do not repeat anything. What is done is done. Get enough sleep, be sure to do some physical activity, and have breakfast without fuss. In general, an ordinary morning of an ordinary day. I also asked God for help. And my support “kept their fingers crossed for me”10. After the fact Be sure to ask the organizers to send you photos, videos, reviews, links to articles of your speech. Ask participants to leave reviews on social media in exchange for a gift. For me it was a selection of 10 books on personal effectiveness. And I invite those who want to improve their Personal Efficiency, Self-discipline and Habits to INDIVIDUAL COACHING Sincerely, your Tatyana Pyatkova, who is constantly climbing her next “Everest”».
