- Achieve success!- Achieve success!- Achieve success! We are bombarded with a lot of advertising on the Internet where specialists who help us achieve success advertise themselves. Among them, there really are those that help you understand your strengths, build a career development strategy, remove internal obstacles (and obstacles can make a significant contribution to the factor of failure). Today I want to talk about the other, negative side of the desire for success. For starters - why does a person strive for success? Success, in essence, is an expression of the dynamics of the survival of society. That is, if individuals (members) of a society strive for success, then the society will survive, otherwise it will decline. The culture of almost any society has a built-in attitude: “achieve success!” In our modern world, the influence of this attitude on achieving success has become extremely strong, as a result of which there have been more neurotic disorders. “Each time has its own neuroses - and each time requires its own psychotherapy” (Viktor Frankl) A person in society also has his own drives, which are activated in response to the “achieve success” attitude: For example, the desire to gain approval, as a form of replacement for parental love , not received enough in childhood. Or the desire to overcome an inferiority complex due to comparison of oneself in childhood with a father figure. It is more common in men, but also occurs in women, especially if the father raised the girl as a boy. There are three main types of neurotic disorders: - neurasthenic disorder; - hysterical neurosis; -social attitudes and one’s real capabilities, “I must and I can.” For example, a person is told at work that he should lead the management of an enterprise, but at the same time, health due to age no longer allows it. The key in the formulation is “neurasthenic disorder” - this is “asthenia”, absence, loss of strength. Neurasthenia also manifests itself in sleep disorders and vegetative disorders (poor health, if in the most general form). The next type of neurotic conflict is “hysterical neurosis”, a conflict between hypo-social attitudes and a person’s claims, the desire to have, for example, an expensive, cool car, a lot of money, big house, power, status. As accurately noted in the words “so that we have everything, and we don’t have to pay anything for it.” Here I want to draw attention to the fact that not all people will experience such a situation as causing internal conflict and development of the type of hysterical disorder. Hysterical neurosis is expressed in dissociative disorders (multiple personality, separation of a complex of ideas from the main core of personality), emotional lability and demonstrative behavior. The third type, obsessive-compulsive neurosis is a consequence of internal tension arising from internal conflicts, such as “I want, but I can’t” . Obsessive-compulsive neurosis is expressed in obsessive-compulsive behavior (obsessive thoughts and obsessive movements, such as leg twitching), performing rituals (not stepping on cracks in the asphalt).*** Well, it seems like you just want success, but when you start to figure it out, there are negative sides with very tangible consequences! ... I haven’t started talking about professional burnout yet, I haven’t started talking about it. So, should I completely, completely throw the idea of success out of my head? No, under no circumstances! The devil is in the details (by the way, have you seen the movie?) and in the extremes! After all, you can achieve success in an environmentally friendly way. Eco-friendly, first and foremost for you. Although here such an interesting effect is manifested that internal environmental friendliness gives rise to environmental friendliness for others (your employees, children, family members). If you are in a state of internal crisis related to professional activities or self-realization, leave a request for a consultation or write to WhatsApp 8 (902) 070 4879
