When I talk about the experience of loneliness in the absence of a love relationship and the search for a loved one, I am often asked what exactly needs to be done. How to get rid of loneliness? How to deal with it? What should I do? I myself found love and lost it, met my beloved women and parted with them. And that's what I realized. It doesn’t matter whether you are single now or not, whether you have a partner or not. The main thing is how you treat yourself at every moment of your life. And at the moment of experiencing loneliness too. It is important to remember that this is only a moment in life, even if it seems endless. Remember, have you ever had “dark days”, unsuccessful ones, when you wanted only one thing - let it end, this endlessly unsuccessful day? And the next day everything was not so bad. Remember? Have you encountered any longer-term difficult situations? When it was difficult, difficult, but then somehow everything was resolved. Remember? Nothing can last forever. It’s only difficult to experience something, that’s why it seems like there’s no end. Of course, in the acute experience of loneliness, it is not easy to remember, to realize, emotions fill, life without love seems meaningless, gray, unbearable. And when it “hurts,” there are only one questions in my head: how to deal with it, how to find a solution, what to do? I was experiencing loneliness and was tormented by the same questions. I tried to reflect my answers to them in this dialogue: - How to deal with loneliness? What to do specifically? - Stop fighting with yourself. - What does it mean to stop fighting with yourself? - This means stopping ignoring yourself in the experience of loneliness. - But I feel bad being alone! What should I do to change this? - Find out what exactly is wrong with myself in a state of loneliness. - I’m sad, sad, empty, ashamed, I’m angry. What should I do about this? - Treat it with tenderness. - What does it mean to treat it with tenderness? - Recognize these feelings in yourself and take maximum care of yourself in the moments of experiencing them - How to do this? - As if the most dear and beloved person for you in the whole world it would be you yourself.
