From the author: This publication describes the role and main signs of confidence - as one of the factors for successful work and optimal motivation, and also examines the question of whether confidence always contributes to work. A feeling of confidence reveals creativity, motivation, and is a positive resource for any work. Characteristic signs of confidence: Tasks are completed quickly; when obstacles arise, optimal ways to solve a work problem can be easier to find. General emotional background: upbeat, cheerful, optimistic. In this state creative plans, new ideas, projects appear. The condition has a positive effect on other areas of life. There may be a feeling that life is passing in a flow. While an increased sense of uncertainty creates some burden, ballast, which narrows the field of possibilities and the perception of real prospects. In such a state, work is performed without desire, negative beliefs regarding self-esteem, increased vulnerability and suspiciousness regarding failure to fulfill expectations from oneself and from others regarding current responsibilities. The state of chaos and uncertainty about what to do and how best to act takes a lot of energy and physical strength. Signs of lack of self-confidence at work: Inability to defend one’s opinion Problematic in saying no when there is no real opportunity to fulfill a specific impossible request/assignment Doubts in oneself and one’s ability to open up at work Some difficulties in communicating with someone at work (for example, a colleague, manager, client) A feeling of inadequacy and incompetence. There may be other signs that are somewhat similar or different from those listed. But the topic of the article also touches on the following questions: Is confidence always a guarantee of success at work? And is this quality alone enough to achieve the goal? And where is the line between self-confidence and optimal faith in yourself and your strengths? Appearing to be confident or revealing this quality in yourself, what is more important? Self-confidence may hide uncertainty. How much it promotes and helps in work is determined by time and personal experience. If everything goes well at work, perhaps this is a factor of success, one of the components of which is confidence. But if something went wrong, or lack of self-confidence in work appears quite often, isn’t this a sign that it’s time to understand yourself in order to: gain clarity and understanding of yourself reveal your creative potential understand and eliminate psychological obstacles that interfere with your work How to solve this issue in order to increase confidence? First of all, understand reasons for uncertainty, identifying among them the most relevant ones for a given period of time. Choose ways to solve conscious reasons. Understand, realize and accept yourself. Find the optimal balance between personal and corporate goals. There may be other solutions, adapted to the specific case and life experience.-- As we see, the topic confidence, on the one hand, is simple.
