From the author's point of view: From the point of view of hypnotherapy, the word unconscious does not mean that this part of our mind does not have consciousness. He has his own consciousness, the consciousness of the unconscious. It can also be called the consciousness of the body. The unconscious is called “unconscious” because our consciousness does not penetrate into it. There are only certain points of contact with it - for example, breathing. We can delay it, but normally it is regulated by the unconscious itself. But, of course, we cannot consciously influence, for example, the production of T-helpers. What does the unconscious do? Contains instincts If a ball flies at your head, your body will automatically take a defensive pose. This also includes conditioned and unconditioned reflexes. Manages homeostasis, incl. breathing, nervous system, blood vessels, immune system, etc. Causes sensations (feelings) in the body and carries out the so-called. “emotional response”, when an emotion caused by the subconscious creates a sensation, a feeling in the body. Just like the subconscious, it performs a protective function. Changes in the subconscious, as a rule, occur with the help of conditioning. A school example is Pavlov’s experiments, when the dog was given food, then turned on light lamp. And then, they simply turned on the lamp and, although they did not give food, the dog still began to produce saliva. This is conditioning, i.e. working with conditioned reflexes. In hypnotherapy we can work with the instincts of the unconscious and its conclusions. They are closely related to the insights of the subconscious and its emotions. Working with the subconscious and unconscious is hypnotherapy.
