You now see a pyramid in the picture, how do you think it should be played? Many, of course, will answer: “You need to collect the rings so that they all go in order, from largest to smallest.” Of course, this is the correct answer! How did you come to this answer? How did you know that this was the way to play it? Many will answer: “Well, this is purely logical.” Here is the key to the solution! An adult only needs to look at an object to understand what it is intended for! And why? Because an adult knows how to think logically, he has developed perception, which helped him evaluate the size of an object, shape, color and, summarizing everything, understand what the principle of the pyramid is. The task of this toy is precisely to convey these knowledge and skills for your child. Where to start the game? Acquaintance: Let the child study the subject, take a good look at it. Draw his attention to what the pyramid consists of, what height and shape it is. Take the baby’s palms and move them along the pyramid, at this moment the child will not only visually remember the correct shape of the figure, but muscle memory will also turn on, his hands will remember what a toy should look like if it is assembled correctly. In the future, this will allow the child to independently control the correctness of his work. Start of the game: Remove all the rings and line them up so that the baby can see how the figures gradually increase in size. Give him each ring in turn, and gradually, based on his sensations and visual perception, he will be able to feel how the size and weight of the rings change. We can also introduce the child to the concept of size: “the largest” and “the smallest.” Place the largest ring and the smallest one in front of the baby. Give a small ring to the child’s hand and repeat several times: “the smallest” *, then do the same with the large ring. This is key knowledge, based on it, the child will learn to build a row. *The fact is that when a child looks at an object, simultaneously holds it in his hand and at the same time hears the characteristics of the object, knowledge is acquired much faster and more efficiently, because the brain uses three main channels of information (vision, hearing, sensation). At this stage, we develop the baby’s perception, something that will help him distinguish the shape, size, color, volume of an object. We also develop his speech and replenish the baby’s vocabulary. Now we will learn to find the largest one among several rings. To do this, place several rings in front of the child (pick them up so that among them you can clearly see which one is bigger). Place the smallest ring next to the big one and draw the baby’s attention to this difference: “look, this is the biggest ring, it’s the largest.” Gradually reducing the difference between the sizes of the rings. Now we move directly to assembling the pyramid. In order for the baby to remain interested and have fun, we help him in the first stages. We line up a row of rings in the correct sequence, let the baby take the rings one by one and master the skill of stringing** them onto the base of the pyramid. **At the moment when a child takes a ring in his hand and tries to put it on the base of the pyramid, very important brain work occurs: the child learns to visually calculate the height of the pyramid, its spatial location, learns to coordinate the position of the hand as necessary in order to put on the ring .At this moment, visual perception, the ability to coordinate movements, logical thinking and spatial relationships develop. THIS IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW: · Since educational toys are both play and educational material, it is recommended to remove them from the baby’s field of vision after class. This is necessary so that the child does not lose interest in them and each toy retains its educational functions. · Carry out play exercises only when the child is in a good mood. The child should experience positive emotions from the activities. When instilling knowledge in your child, do not forget that.
