You shouldn't date narcissists, everyone knows that. A huge amount of information in various public pages and social networks. On networks, articles, written books, they are broadcasting everywhere about how dangerous it is to date narcissists, but how to recognize them? How to realize that a person has a mental disorder or is not yet a disorder, but is close to it, how to protect yourself and not get caught in a skillfully woven web? It is not so easy to recognize a narcissist, because he is charming and attractive, knows how to charm and create the image of a very pleasant person to us. He is smart, courteous, successful and handsome, of course. How can you resist such a temptation? Almost nothing, you might say, but it’s all just a mask! Just a well-created and constructed Persona that will disappear as soon as you find yourself in its networks. Narcissists beautifully conquer and charm, they tell you the right words and compliments, all this just to win you over. However, as soon as you trust him and open up, you will be manipulated and devalued, gaslighting and indifference, everything that is not for him and not at his request is not suitable and will never be accepted as the truth. It is never possible to meet a narcissist in person , i.e. speak personally, openly about your feelings, emotions, experiences, such a person always acts in his defenses: he closes himself, attacks, aggression, it is impossible to talk to him, because. he will never reveal his pain to you, and therefore his vulnerability, he will not allow himself to come down from the pedestal of his grandiosity. Instead, the narcissist manipulates, twisting his own, what is necessary and important for him, replaces reality, confusing you and always exposing everything so that everything turns out to be your fault. He doesn't care about you or your feelings, because more of his own aggression about something suddenly not going the way he would like takes over and forces him to control and dominate. Narcissists never understand and will never be able to understand the full range of your experiences and emotions, because they themselves do not experience such feelings. How can I explain this to you? It’s as if nothing happens inside, nothing arises, nothing can be affected, there’s emptiness inside and there’s simply nothing. Such meetings and realizations are frightening, but it is true that such people exist, and it is important for ourselves to understand why they exist.) In relationships with narcissists, you always feel somehow different! Not beautiful enough, not smart enough, not successful and educated enough, no matter what you do and no matter how wonderful you are, you will always be somehow insufficient! Insufficient for his attention, recognition of your value and respect for you. In such relationships you always don’t get enough, be it with your mother, loved ones or partner, victims of narcissists always experience this devaluing feeling. If you feel this way in your relationship, this is a serious reason to think about who you are in a relationship with and whether it is really so important for you to be in it?
