Life conditions change rapidly and unpredictably, and each of us adapts in our own way. The very fact that we are alive says that life’s problems are being solved, although everyone has their own, individual way. We breathe, our heart beats, we can blush and turn pale from experiences. We jerk our hand away from the hot cup and are startled by a sudden clap of thunder. This is how we act unconsciously, under the influence of feelings. We have learned something from previous experience. And this makes our life much easier. For example, I don’t have to choose a route to the nearest store every time, or think about how to turn on the light in my room. We act according to a long-known program. However, sometimes we still have to make a choice about what to do. Make an informed decision. In this case, the purely human function of making a new, untested decision is activated. Normally, a person makes a decision based on both feelings and his past experience. A shift in any direction leads to disturbances in the psyche. If you trust only your feelings, without relying on experience, you get green men who observe and irradiate us. Completely ignoring feelings makes it impossible to scan reality - loss of feelings of cold, fear or hunger. Conscious choice is the prerogative of an adult person. The depth of awareness varies from person to person. The child performs his actions rather unconsciously, rather out of feelings and sensations. An adult who already has the ability to realize and decide can gradually teach this to a child.
