We often need to quickly come to a resourceful, calm state. Get rid of strong emotions and tension in the body. Below is a technique that works great for these tasks. In my opinion, this technique should be in every person’s arsenal of techniques. It is simple and understandable, and at the same time it can quickly put you in a relaxed state, reducing emotional and bodily tension. More about the technique. Emotional Freedom Technique - EFT, or Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) - a technique based on tapping ( tapping) points on the body according to a certain technique, “Acupuncture without needles.” Developed in the nineties, twentieth century, by the American doctor of clinical psychology Roger Callahan. The technique helps: relieve stress, emotional tension, and even physical pain. By tapping the points, we influence those parts of our brain in which violent emotional energy is born, creating tension in the psyche and body. The points on the body that we act on, like special buttons, gradually “reduce” the created tension and bring the nervous system and body into a calm, comfortable state. Step 1. Selecting a goal - The goal for working through the EFT method can be an unpleasant feeling or a painful situation that causes this feeling. Step 2. Experience the feeling - Step two: focus your attention as much as possible on the unpleasant feeling with which you are interacting. Rate the intensity of this emotion on a scale from 0 to 10Step 3. TappingStep three: keeping your attention on the unpleasant feeling, begin tapping all the points in order.Step 4. CheckingStep four: again evaluate the intensity of the feeling you are working with. If you initially felt a feeling of 10, how many points do you feel now, after a round of tapping? Repeat steps 2-4 as many times as necessary. It is likely that you will have to repeat the tapping procedure several times before you are free of the unpleasant feeling and experience significant relief. Video instructions:
