"If a person went to a doctor, then everything is simpler. There should be relief from bodily suffering. If to a hairdresser, then there should be a haircut that would suit him. But as in in the case of psychological help? Isn’t there a lot here that is so obvious? Some people will think. In my opinion, everything is very clear. As a result of psychological consultation, all the problematic situations for which, in fact, the person sought help should be resolved. When? The result should be very fast. Immediately after the end of the counseling process, how should a person feel? After all, a person often comes with internal pain, difficult and unbearable experiences. Why? I came for help, there is a problem or there are several of them. Definitely, it should become easier. It’s as if “a stone has been lifted from my soul.” In my opinion, there should be no painful disclosure of one’s own personality, because the result is not help, but condemnation. After all, a “specialist” hints or directly speaks about a person’s shortcomings. Will it be easier here? I think no. Why talk about shortcomings that the person himself is a little aware of? What if people themselves tell people about their shortcomings? After all, this happens. Each person reacts differently, depending on their character. Of course, some may be very offended, others less so. And again, a lot depends on the person himself. After all, you can react to every thought differently. So why talk about shortcomings? For a person to change? But he himself can change for the better. The concept of self-development and self-education has not yet been canceled. A “specialist”, speaking about a person’s shortcomings, causes him even greater suffering. It turns out to be a very sad and sad situation. The “specialist” not only does not alleviate the client’s suffering by this, but also shifts the responsibility for solving problems onto the client and it does not become easier for him. Greater responsibility for solving the client’s problems should lie with the specialist, with whom the client should feel safe and comfortable."
