From the author: Sigmund Freud once said that a person is born neurotic. This is half the truth. A person is not born neurotic, but he belongs to neurotic humanity and the society around him sooner or later makes everyone neurotic. A person is born normal, natural, but when a newborn becomes part of society, neuroses begin. The cause of neuroses is splitting, deep splitting. You are not alone - there are two of you or even more. - Book of Secrets. Vigyan Bhairava Tantra (excerpt) What do the practices and traditions of enlightenment cure or free a person from? In the West it is often asked whether it is really necessary to undergo a rigorous school of Zen, asceticism or meditation in order to achieve liberation? Or is a more effective and less difficult path still possible? A reasonable question would be: liberation from what, from whom? Liberation is necessary for those people who have serious problems with their own ego. A person wants to free himself from his suffering for any reason (and without) a sense of self-importance! When conventional methods of psychotherapy have exhausted themselves and do not provide a feeling of happiness, a person seeks more radical methods and practices, turning to the most ancient knowledge of mankind. Enlightenment is the end of suffering. - BuddhaThe idea of training your mind came to us from antiquity. Plato, Socrates and Aristotle emphasized the importance of reason as the hope of humanity. Like other philosophers, Du Bois's predecessors taught people to use reason to destroy irrational ideas that cause a person to engage in obsessive and unproductive emotional experiences. Like the philosophy of Stoicism, which originated approximately twenty-five centuries ago, depth psychotherapy and liberation techniques hold the view that people have no compelling reasons to force oneself to suffer excessively or experience emotional disorders, regardless of what psychological or verbal stimuli affect them. In each spiritual tradition, such a state is called differently, but, to put it simply, it is a desire to free oneself from painful (and various types of ) suffering. Such a state (suffering) is designated by the term duhkha (Sanskrit, Pali - “suffering”, “misfortune”, “sorrow”) - a characteristic of the existence of an individual who has not achieved true self-knowledge. A state of loss of meaning of existence and disappointment in life and its goals. Each master who has reached the liberated level has in his arsenal and uses different techniques to help the seeking individual. Often this is a technique of “collapse” of opposites tearing the psyche to pieces. And it happens that other means are used. Let's consider one of the techniques. Look at the picture below. Usually, if you make a forced decision, then tension grows inside you. For example, if you force yourself to change behavior without changing your attitude, some categories move to the right column, while others move to the left. When you resort to conscious release, all categories move to the right. See. article: https://www.b17.ru/article/guilt_and_its_transformation/#It seems that we live in a world that moves at a breakneck pace, and we are forced to constantly accelerate in order to keep up with others. Driven by the desire to achieve a goal, even in the field of self-improvement, we often run past the moment that opens up unique opportunities for self-development and self-knowledge. Try to start treating life as if you have all your free time! Liberation is not some kind of freedom from of one’s body, but the restoration of unity between one’s consciousness and body after their temporary split, necessary for the social adaptation of a person. Liberation is the disappearance of the individual’s alienation, both from himself and from nature. This is complete mental integration or SELF-ACCEPTANCE! HEAL AND BE UNITED!
