During stressful situations, it is extremely necessary to know how I can bring myself into a resourceful state, what I can do to stabilize my condition. I suggest you pay attention to six components. The first is physical actions. What activities with my body help me feel good? Or, on the contrary, what inactions? For example, this could be playing sports or, conversely, lack of sports. Sleep, walks, sex, beauty treatments, massage, eat or fast. What sport nourishes you when you're feeling down? Find your parts of it. How does your body help you cope with stress? The second component is reliance on the brain, on rationality. How do you rely on your brain during times of stress? Do you consider several options, frighten yourself with a catastrophic scenario, remember how your relative acted under stress, support yourself, say that you can handle it? Find your option. The third component is imagination, fantasies, hobbies. What hobbies bring me stress relief? Drawing, embroidery, travel, music... Find exactly your resource. Fourth - society, communication. What people bring me relief? Or, on the contrary, you need to be alone. Or maybe talk to a stranger - a psychologist, call a helpline, correspond with someone online. Theme of the photo: “Look, the resources are there.” Fifth – feelings and emotions. How do my feelings help me during times of stress? What is better for me: to show feelings, cry, scream or remain silent. Try a new option that you have not yet allowed yourself - perhaps you will find your resource. It is important to remember here that during times of stress you need to find an option for expressing feelings that will be resourceful specifically for you, and not for others. If you feel like crying and you know that it will help you during times of stress, then you don’t need to worry about how my tears will affect others. It’s not about what’s right, but about how best I can deal with my feelings now. Sixth – values, beliefs. What values strengthen you during times of stress? What beliefs give you strength? These six components will help you support yourself and find your resources. If any of these areas are not developed in you, then this is a good reason to think about how I can use this, which resource is mine. Emotions and behavior during a crisis I invite you to consultation and therapy. You can sign up for a consultation via WhatsApp +7-962-288-94-65.
