Let me write about bullying. I'm used to this word in the context of school or work. There are many articles about bullying, there are methods on how to deal with it. But you know, the world is changing. And it seems to me that instabullying is the most real reality of our days.⠀Let’s figure out what the background is?⠀1. First of all, it's envy. Moreover, of the lowest kind. It’s not like, “Wow, cool! Since someone can, I’ll try it too.” No. This is envy like: “Wow, what mediocrity and dares to do something! He’s nothing of himself, I’d sit and be silent.”⠀The sticking out nail always gets hit in the hat. A person who risks being visible will always offend someone who does not risk standing out himself.⠀2. Plus impunity. In real life it’s difficult to come up and spit in a person’s face, but on Instagram it’s easy and simple. And if suddenly you don’t want to spoil your personal profile with such a dirty act, create a fake file in 2 minutes. There you can spit in all directions.⠀3. Third. Shifting responsibility. You know, when there was a scandal with Pavel Durov over the fact that VKontakte contains videos with pornography, I liked his words. He said: “VKontakte is not responsible for how parents raise their children.”⠀What I mean is that if someone thinks that “my child will look at this blogger and do the same, my daughter wants to become a YouTuber and not go to college" and so on - everyone is responsible for their own life. Including for the way he raises his children.⠀I’ll quote my grandmother. The quote is 30 years old and still relevant. “Think with your head. If everyone jumps from the roof, will you jump too?”⠀4. Hype is money. No matter how it sounds, it is so. Sometimes kicking someone who is being kicked by the whole crowd means raising your rating. And raise some money.⠀Well, I’ll be tough. Are you bully? No matter how you disguise it with concern for society, loved ones, yourself or children, there is only one reason - an ATTEMPT TO GET A FEELING OF SUPERIORITY.⠀That's all.⠀Have something to say on the topic? Do you need to write methods to protect yourself from bullying, or is it not relevant? Sincerely, Sofya Pimenova* Instagram belongs to Meta, which is recognized as an extremist organization in Russia.
