From the author: Magazine "Trade and Production", No. 18, 2009, p.4 Many managers are right when they doubt what they do not understand, and therefore cannot evaluate coaching objectively enough. They ask: In what case should I hire a coach? What benefits can I get from working with a coach? How long will coaching take? Coaching arose and is rapidly developing because very successful people, by the way, who wanted to become even more successful, calculated the return on their investment in coaching funds per ruble (dollar or other monetary equivalent). The results of a number of studies indicate that the return exceeds 500 percent, i.e. one monetary unit of funds invested in coaching brings more than five monetary units of additional income. Great business! Coaching is intended for gifted, successful and lucky people who are looking to use their talents. In my experience, I have become convinced that very gifted, lucky and ambitious people, more than anyone else, tend to see great opportunities in coaching that can help them become even more successful, climb to new heights, and achieve incredible goals. A goal is just a dream with a given deadline. Dreams Come True! But how is it possible? With the help of coaching - easily and with pleasure! Coaching is a well-proven business technology that allows you to maximize your personal and professional effectiveness in a short time, learn to achieve your goals easily and with pleasure. Coaching is based on the well-founded belief that people have amazing and limitless abilities to think, create, learn, make decisions and take responsibility. At the same time, the coach’s task is to help the client use his own resources to achieve the best result. An effective coach knows how and can create conditions for the client to evaluate his current situation and find his own solution. At the same time, an experienced coach relies not only and not so much on his own resources, but on the capabilities and abilities of the client. The main way a coach works is a conversation with a client, in which the coach asks specially structured questions. In a sense, coaching is the art of asking questions. However, this is not just a list of questions. In coaching, there are clear rules and standards of work that are declared by the International Coaching Federation. In addition, the coach never gives advice on what exactly and how to do it! Americans have a saying: “Take my advice, because I don’t use it myself.” When conducting coaching sessions, in addition to questions, I use various metaphors that clarify for the client ways to solve the problems he faces. And the client can build his incredible future from LEGO elements. And structure your thoughts using cognitive maps. In team coaching, role-playing games, collective drawing and discussion of feature films are added. Clients achieve significant results after four to six months of regular (once a week) coaching sessions.
