From the author: The article was first published here Find out the personal story of the author of the “Mom’s Career” project about changing her career strategy and download the webinar recording about mistakes, fears when changing careers and looking for a new job and methods of working with them How did I decide to change careers? Although I did not radically change my profession, I was and still am a psychologist. But I changed my career strategy. Changed it radically. From a 100% hired worker, I turned into almost a businesswoman. Previously, I saw myself only in hired work and dreamed of working as a psychologist in some large center, where I would have my own office, a pleasant team, a wise boss (also a psychologist). The opportunity to conduct training on interesting topics in a comfortable room. Now I work for myself. And for me this is something transcendental, not from my life. Therefore, it was not easy to make a decision. There was no day in my history when I said: “Starting tomorrow I’m changing my career, starting a private practice and my own project on the Internet,” and I started doing all this intensively. No, there were no drastic changes and global steps. Because I'm a coward. I was afraid of everything: new things, fame, criticism, failures, failures and even success. I had a lot of cockroaches in my head from the category: there is a lot of competition, in our city no one needs psychologists, who needs my trainings and consultations on the topic of changing jobs, it’s boring, I don’t know how to make websites, write articles and I won’t succeed etc. etc. Find out my version of “how to decide to change careers and jobs” here
