From the author: Article for parents. When creating any training, usually, first of all, I connect the main vector with the goals of the program, followed by thoughts about a certain figurative portrait of future participants and the general setting. This is how it turned out , that my daughter recently graduated from preschool and on this positive note, thinking about her, I created a program for young ladies and gentlemen 7-10 years old. As a specialist, I drew attention to some important details in the development of a child that, unfortunately, cannot be addressed to the desired extent within the framework of a comprehensive school. A psychologist and a parent met in me, and now in this article I want to consider the task of choosing a training for a child. Every parent, of course, wants his child to be able to think, to be independent, to be able to communicate and make friends, to be self-confident, to be able to handle such things with care. resources such as time or money. School holidays can be spent usefully and developed these skills. Summer, first of all, is given to the child for relaxation and when choosing children's training, I would give preference to a format of classes that is radically different from school ones. Also, meetings should not be frequent or too long. Many psychological centers are filling new market niches with their services, and all that remains is to make the right choice. The main thing in children's training is the principle of safety for the child. I am confident that you should trust proven specialists who practice in areas of psychology that are understandable (for you, parent). Eliminate methods alternative to scientific ones immediately! Children are our future, and not a field for experiments, mysticism, energy and other things. Warn the psychologist trainer about the characteristics of your child. You will ask the latter about the clauses about psychological safety in his “Code of Ethics”. Ask about additional certifications, reviews and recommendations. My practice says “YES” to the choice of trainers practicing adult education. This will add to the behavior patterns of a primary school teacher and teacher familiar to the child - new ones, for example, a coach or business trainer. Maintain physical security. Bring and pick up your young participant on time and independently. Be sure to exchange phone numbers with your coach. Leave an additional source of communication in case there is no mobile connection. At home, have another conversation about safety precautions when playing and studying. At the same time, ask questions to reinforce it. In this case, the only acceptable form of communication is dialogue. Also, do not forget about the principle of matching the content of the training to the age of the child. The ability to communicate with children and adults, the ability to present oneself and one’s knowledge in the classroom, perseverance, patience, tolerance of others, and protection of one’s interests come to the fore in children’s trainings and developmental classes. Draw in advance legal, financial and other important boundaries for you with those whom you trust with the development of the personality of the younger generation. Clearly formulate your goals and requests, offer to write this down in the contract. State your attitude towards photo and video shooting there. If successfully completed, I recommend meeting with the coach and other guys and reviewing the materials in about a month, which will be an excellent post-training. Prohibit the organizers from posting information confirming participation in the training on the Internet for any purpose without your consent. Good luck to you and your children!
