Today in my work I came across the topic of resolving the Oedipus complex. This is a situation in relations with parents that should end in disappointment: the inability to organize a couple with a parent of the opposite sex. I would like to remind you that if this disappointment does not happen, and the parents suddenly decide to play along with their children, trying not to upset them, then the child’s development will follow the path of a hysterical personality. A person with this type of personality will be characterized by: * Painful thirst for attention * Maximum manifestation of masculine or feminine traits * Sexualization of one’s image * Demanding behavior towards oneself and others * Painful reaction to being in “second positions” For all their brightness, sexuality and attractiveness, hysterics are forced to hide from the outside world. Somewhere inside, because of an unresolved Oedipus complex, there remains a small child screaming to the whole world: “Love me, please!” And if we approach the analysis of this topic deeply, we again see the rightness of the founders of psychoanalysis. In this case, everything that happens is very close to the Kleinian understanding of the issue and the absence of a transition from the paranoid-schizoid position of the child to the depressive one. In the case of a hysteroid, there is no place in the parental relationship from which he would be excluded. Bad and good objects have not gone through the path of final integration into each other in such a person. Hence the attitude towards oneself that does not tolerate frustration. Either I'm the best, or I'm not. The approach to partnership of hysteroids is curious. While they are young, they tend to choose older partners who can compensate for their parental figure. But when youth leaves them, they compensate for it at the expense of another person. They need a partner who confirms that they bring that same youthfulness into their lives. Thus, preserving the hysteroid’s belonging to their sexualized self-perception. Aging, as well as lack of attention, is very painful for people of this type. They will try to push back as far as possible the moment when they will no longer be able to attract the gaze of strangers. http://psychologistpenza.rf https://t.me/psychology_kulichkov
