I am often asked the question: “Is it true that in order to be successful at work you need to love your job?” “It’s true,” I answer, “it is sincerity and love for our profession that makes us strong, helps us to be charged with incredibly powerful energy that can work miracles.” And then, as a rule, the following question follows: “How to understand your interest in the profession?” This question already contains a misconception. It is impossible to “understand” love (or interest). You can feel love and interest. So, I decided to talk to you about how to “feel”. Where does interest come from? Interest comes when we begin to listen to ourselves and hear ourselves. In order to get a feel for what kind of work you want to do, it is important to slow down. Remember your interests, hobbies, desires. And then we return to ourselves. It happens that these desires can come from somewhere in childhood. For example, you once dreamed of being an artist as a child and were drawn to everything creative. They drew beautifully and exhibited their drawings at school exhibitions. And they grew up and became a painter. And here you are standing at work, monotonously moving a paint brush along the next wall in the apartment, and your hands are reaching out to paint something unusual. For example, “Malevich’s Square”... And here comes the very moment when it is important to listen to yourself. Pay attention to your body, how it responds to your memories. What feelings and sensations come to you? Does that very thing of yours come, where you are comfortable and harmonious, where you belong to yourself? We encounter exactly these sensations when we begin to belong to our interests and inner desires. And when this interest brings us happiness and satisfaction, we do our work with great love. Sincerity and feelings have never been canceled in this world. I wish you all to discover your own interest in the profession and experience this incredible “flight of the soul.” Interest and love for our work allows us to feel a sense of harmony and happiness. And they give a huge resource to just live.
