Thus, the newborn, by the way, determines the location of the food source. Swimming reflex. Walking reflex. At the same time, the arm and leg on this side of the body are straightened, and on the opposite side they are compressed, as if the baby was preparing to fence. The jerking reflex. The newborn withdraws his foot when the sole is tickled. The presence or absence of these and other reflexes is an important indicator of the neuropsychic development of the baby. Based on the totality of assessments of the manifestation of the listed reflexes, the level of psychomotor development of the baby is usually judged.
