Psychoprophylactic work is the formation in teachers and children of the need for psychological knowledge, the desire to use it in work with the child" or in the interests of their own development, the creation of conditions for the full mental development of the child at each age stage, timely prevention of possible disorders in the development of personality. Psychodiagnostic work is an in-depth psychological and pedagogical study of a child throughout the entire period of preschool and school childhood, identifying his individual characteristics, determining the causes of developmental disorders. Developmental and correctional work is the active influence of a psychologist on the development of the child’s personality and individuality and ensuring compliance of this development with age standards, assisting teaching staff in individualizing the upbringing and education of children, developing their abilities and inclinations. Consultative work is advising adults and children on development, training and education. Psychological support is the entire system of professional activities of a psychologist. It is aimed at creating socio-psychological conditions for emotional well-being, successful development, upbringing and education of a child in situations of socio-pedagogical interactions organized within an educational institution.
