We probably all say or hear something similar: “Intuition failed. You need to trust your intuition. Intuitive decision..." What is intuition - a voice from above? From within? Is there some kind of premonition? Or is this the work of our psyche? Today, intuition is a concept on which multiple speculations are based. Especially on the topic of “development of intuition” in various schools of spiritual growth, the disclosure of all sorts of superpowers. Perhaps this is a gift from above. But all “foreknowledge and foresight” can be analyzed on a completely scientific basis. Examples that I usually give to clients or listeners on this topic: ...I was once driving home with my daughter. By bus. Bus number 16 goes home, and number 66 turns onto the bridge, and the next stop is on the other side of the river. We got on the bus, and I suddenly wanted to have a conversation about safety and behavior in difficult situations. I tell my daughter: “If suddenly one day you get on and I don’t, wait at the next stop.” And if you make a mistake, it happens that you go over the bridge, change seats here and there. Then my daughter says: “Is this how I should take the wrong bus?” I look - we go straight to the bridge across the river and turn... Intuition? ...I was once walking from the market with a huge cart of something, I don’t remember what. Before that I stopped to chat with friends. I’m walking and thinking: such a cart is heavy... I wish I could come soon. But it would be terrible if I dragged her to the 2nd floor, and suddenly lost the keys. This happens to people... Well, naturally, I drag it to the 2nd floor - bam, there are no keys! Intuition? …Walking with dog. She began to fasten the leash, and she did. As I walk, I think: it’s been a long time since I bought this collar. Has it become too small? After a few seconds, the collar simply unfastens and hangs in your hand. Naturally, without a dog. Intuition? Maybe I'm psychic? Maybe... Or most likely, she ignored the signals and hints. The work of one of our founding fathers of psychology, P.K., helps me explain such intuitive messages. Anokhina: “Model of a functional system.” Everything described in it is complex. But at the everyday level, it’s easy to understand. There is a picture of the upcoming action - there is an expected result. Whether what was planned coincides with the result or not is clarified in the process. You are planning to do something or go somewhere. A picture of the final action is created in your head. Are you planning to drink tea? Your brain has already created this picture of the final action: you are sitting, drinking tea, enjoying it. And he created, by the way, without your participation, bypassing consciousness. And so, you went to the kitchen, but... you became thoughtful on the way. You know, sometimes I go into the kitchen or into the room... Stop. Why did I come? There was a picture of tea. And if some details do not match, then intuition (or Anokhin’s system) shouts: - Olya, the picture won’t match! Also, intuition can knock from the depths of the unconscious: - you cannot distinguish a one from a six in a bus number! The bus is not the same! And for some reason I start telling my daughter about similar cases. - you won’t get home, the picture of you relaxing and drinking coffee won’t match. You have multiple sclerosis, you left your keys where you chatted with friends! And it is at this time that I begin to think about similar stories - the collar has long been too small for the dog, it will come unfastened! And I begin to remember how long ago I bought this thing. The conscious mind is sleeping, but the unconscious is working, trying to help. Reads errors from the surrounding world. Bus number, forgotten keys, loose collar fasteners. We just don't hear well. The simplest thing is to learn to listen to yourself. Always, not only for the development of intuition, it will develop itself. What I have described is not the “final and only” definition of intuition. But it is useful not to focus only on the “magic gift from above.” And what level of intuition is a question of its development. Everyone has it, not just a select few. The fact is that we often lose touch with ourselves. In the bustle of cities, in a bunch of problems that are simultaneously spinning and asking for a solution in our head. Someone uses their inner voice to hear
