We are all very different. Each has its own comfortable speed, level of motivation and strength, and a large number of various differences. If the frequency of meetings once a week on average is optimal for the majority, then everything that happens within the sessions is completely individual. But there are several things that will help make therapy even more effective: ✔ Do homework and discuss the results at the next meeting (tasks are given for a reason, but based on your request and therapy goals, they are aimed at gaining new knowledge and experience). You should not ignore the task completed by the client, otherwise the meaning of completion and motivation may be lost, because he tried and wants to share and discuss the results. And this alone can be extremely therapeutic: discover why it was easy/difficult to do, what worked and what didn’t, what interfered/encouraged, etc. 🗣 If something in the therapy process gives you doubts, questions, resistance, if you want to change something, talk about it (for many, therapy is the first place in which you can express any feelings, be accepted and receive support - try ).🗒 Making notes after each meeting (what was important, useful, what I would like to concentrate on, etc.), daily journaling is also useful. 📓 Keep a diary, writing down thoughts, feelings, ideas and anything else daily. Later, you can return to the recordings and evaluate the changes. 🤦🏼‍♀ Shame and guilt are one of the most difficult feelings to bear, but just voicing the problem is a huge step towards solving it. The therapist will never judge you and knows how to deal with any client’s feelings. If some questions are especially difficult for you, this is where it is better to start. Those places where there is especially a lot of pain, shame and resistance are usually the most important, and in any case you will have to face them. 📲 You can get help and support between sessions by writing a message. I will definitely answer when possible. 🖤 Remember that psychotherapy is about you and for you. This is a safe place where you meet yourself not alone, but gain the experience of unconditional acceptance, the necessary help and support. Now I have several windows for new clients on weekday evenings or weekends. Write to find out more and receive a file with answers to popular questions.
