From the author: Perhaps you can cope with it yourself? © Family psychologist Natalia Filimonova, 2019. All rights reserved. There are many myths about Neurolinguistic Programming. Many people associate the acronym NLP with manipulation and zombification. In fact, this is just one of the areas of psychology. In the early seventies of the last century, two Americans, young linguist John Grinder and student Richard Bandler, began to study the patterns of successful people, based on four options for perceiving reality: Visual - using vision Auditory - using hearing Kinesthetic - through sensations Digital - through rationalization and logic I once shared my personal experience of how I easily quit smoking, including creating a negative image of myself smoking. I imagined what my skin and teeth would look like if I didn’t stop smoking, how squeaky my voice will become and how disgusting my hair and clothes will smell. You can read what other method I came up with here: How to quit smoking easily? The main thing is that I not only stopped smoking, but actually felt disgusted by the smell of tobacco. At the same time, I smoked several times with my friends and not only did I not slip into the habit again, but I also coughed and choked like any newbie smoker! Now that I stopped taking pills that slow down my metabolism, I began to slowly become slimmer, detaching myself from positive images my favorite foods, removing the “anchors” associated with what is behind their consumption. How does food addiction occur on an emotional level? For example, during the blessed times of your childhood, there was a cozy smell of pies in your parents’ house. On the eve of the holidays, my grandmother made dough. The parents were young and happy. The whole family gathered at a large festive table. The long-awaited guests arrived. It seemed that all the troubles and sorrows would bypass your home. The years flew by, “some are no longer there, but those are far away” and only the cozy smell of butter dough takes you back to those distant happy years. How nice is it to take a plate of pies in the blazing heat and sit down with a cup of aromatic tea and watch a good old movie? “Olivier”, “Herring under a Fur Coat” and other mayonnaise salads are also perceived by many of us as festive New Year’s, “magical” dishes! Or Do you perceive a trip to McDonald's as one of the pleasures of student youth? For some people, beer and smoked fish are associated with summer and the sea. And “shish kebab with cognac is very tasty” for you too? Or maybe you, as I loved as a child brownies with a milkshake or “store-bought” juice? These drinks seemed to me nothing less than the food of the gods! It is very important to be able to remove the positive “fleur” from these far from healthy dishes! You can replace their perception with something unpleasant, for example, rotting and swelling in an overfilled stomach. PS Only by separating dear images from one or another, by no means healthy dish, can you get rid of severe food addiction forever. Slender mood. Psychological online group for women
