A person quickly gets used to everything, especially to good things. If he is in the same environment for a long time, identical in its characteristics and practically unchanged, he tends to get bored. We need variety to keep our brains productive. Various tasks and development. But life does not always present us with such options. Sometimes the work is routine, boring, monotonous. Even if something changes, the result of the work is still not visible. And even if it is visible, it is often devalued. When I worked in the additional education system, 50 percent of my working time (if not more) was spent on paperwork. Writing conclusions, analytical reports, reports and other papers that were often put “on the table”. Understanding the futility of this activity often disheartened me and forced me to focus on other options for professional development. On the other hand, it helped me develop a certain style of writing official papers and reports. Now it is not difficult for me. That is, a certain skill has been formed that helps me today. And this has its advantages. I think that in almost any activity you can find positive aspects for yourself. Set goals and achieve them. Your goals. What do you want from this job? In which direction do you want to develop? What are you interesting in. What qualities can be developed and strengthened? There is no perfect job, everything has its own advantages and disadvantages. But everyone chooses for themselves and on their own - to endure or change, to do or not, to stand still or to develop. For example, one of my clients worked for a long time in an uninteresting, routine, but stable and well-paid job. Plus, at work it was possible behind the scenes to engage in intellectual activities that were not related to direct responsibilities, i.e. watch webinars, read books and articles, study a foreign language, etc. At that time, the girl was in dire need of money, so she didn’t dare change jobs, but she used her free time profitably and after a while she got a new profession. It’s not always in our power to change the situation , in this case, all that remains is to change your attitude towards her. And find something good. It is important to be able to notice your achievements, find ways to develop for yourself, or, in parallel with uninteresting activities, learn something new that will definitely be useful to you. And if possible, it is never too late to learn to change and change, develop and achieve. If there is a desire, there will always be time. © Psychologist Anna Sokurenko. I consult in person and online
