I decided to start publishing on this site chapters from the book I wrote, “how to find yourself?” - Promise him something. Promise something that you will do in memory of him - - Dad, I promise that I will write a book. This dialogue took place between me and a psychologist at a sand therapy session. That day, I internally said goodbye to my father, who suddenly passed away when I was 19 years old. Three years have passed since that work with the psychologist. I'm keeping my promise, dad! Wanting to understand in what area I should develop professionally, I tried different methods on myself: tests, career guidance, working with a psychologist, psychotherapy, group work, courses on finding a favorite activity, coaching, working with a tutor, astrologer, numerologist. In the end, I came to the conclusion that no one can choose for a person what kind of work he should do. No test, no expert or guru. A professional helping specialist accompanies and helps shorten the path with the help of proven and professional tools, but the choice will definitely remain yours and only yours! I love the coaching and tutoring approaches because they are based on the principle of self-determination, i.e. independent, free, reasoned determination or choice of “WHAT TO BE?” My personal experience has shown that if you first carefully get to know yourself (the third part of the book is devoted to this topic), then honestly work on yourself (the fourth part), then the question “how to find yourself” will be resolved by itself and you can simply flip through the fifth part of the book. It is important for me that the reader is honest, first of all, with himself, understands and accepts himself with his strengths and zones of proximal development. In this case, the choice will be easier. My job is to help you get to know the real you. I have been looking for myself since I was 18, but found it only at 35. I was literally passionate about the topic of self-realization, I studied biographies and interviews of people who managed to find and realize themselves in the profession and benefit people. I listened to their every word, wanting to get to the bottom of the truth: what influences successful professional self-realization? Why do some people easily find a calling, while others have to spend years on it? And I found answers to my questions. My professional path has been difficult for me. I suffered through my professional self-determination because I was looking for myself on my own, alone, which is why it took so much effort and years. But I didn’t waste any time: I trained as a psychologist, coach, tutor, studied the topic of professional self-determination, started my practice and continue to develop in this direction. This topic has become something to which I want to devote part of my life. In the book, I share my experiences, life hacks, methods and techniques that have helped me and my clients. And so that you don’t waste precious years of your life searching for yourself and can take shortcuts, I have combined all my personal and professional experience into a system where all the parts are interconnected. Before I begin, I'll tell you how the book is organized and how to get the most out of it. The book is based on my personal story. I describe and analyze the events that actually happened to me. I draw conclusions and highlight the essence. The theoretical part of the book is based on the ideas of humanistic, existential psychology, coaching and personality-oriented approaches, as well as the method of personal self-determination. At the end of each chapter you will find practical tasks, completing which you will quickly achieve the desired result on the path of your self-determination. I ask you not to ignore coaching questions and exercises - this way you will lose the opportunity to reason, think, find solutions by looking within yourself. Finding yourself is a real exploration! And my tasks will help you make significant progress in this matter. Read the book at your own pace, chapter by chapter, without skipping them or jumping from beginning to end. Feel free to work with the book, highlight important thoughts that come to your mind while reading. Keep a notepad or open notes on
