One of the forms of conflict management is conflict visualization, i.e. creating a conflict map (conflict cartography). Components of cartography: 1) identification of a general problem; 2) identification of the main participants in the conflict (who are the parties to the conflict?); 3) identification of the needs and fears of each party. Assignment for the client: describe the conflict, highlight its elements and draw a map of a significant conflict (Fig. 1). Fig.1. Conflict map The method of conflict mapping has its advantages: 1) limits experiences, discussions, collisions to formal boundaries; 2) switches a person from experiences to reflection, reasoning, and the decision-making process; 3) creates the opportunity to understand one’s needs and fears; 4) allows one to realize your point of view and see the point of view of other participants; 5) develops the ability to think systematically and express your thoughts.
