How to believe in yourself? Throughout life, starting from early childhood, we find ourselves in different situations in which we lose pieces of faith in ourselves. For example: - As a child, my mother often said: “Look at Olechka, she’s always so beautiful and neat, and again you came in from the street all dirty.” - At school, the teacher pointed out in front of the whole class that your desk neighbor Slavik is a smart boy, and you’re stupid and besides also a liar who constantly cheats from him.- As a teenager, your grandmother sang to you and everyone around that nothing good would grow out of your granddaughter.- And at the school disco, Dimka, who he really liked, preferred another girl and danced with her all evening.⠀ And so on dozens more similar situations. As a result, as adults, we tend to underestimate ourselves, doubt, engage in self-criticism, not do what we really want, be afraid that nothing will work out again, etc. ⠀Where to start to believe in yourself again? ⠀⠀ - Inside yourself, tell your inner child that no matter what, he made it through, ⠀ he survived then, and that situation ended; - Promise him that now you yourself will take care of him, protect, support, fulfill his desires and be sure to keep your promise;⠀ ⠀ - Mentally return to those people who once undermined your self-confidence their words and assessments. For example: “Mom, I’m returning this to you. I won’t carry this anymore”;- Try to say “Yes” to all your life experiences and every situation. This will allow you to release the energy that you spent on ignoring, not accepting, fighting and direct it to improving your present life; - Remember at least one situation in which you managed to achieve your goal, you were satisfied with yourself and felt good. Feel these sensations and emotions in your body. Imagine them in the form of some kind of image. This will be your resource. Every time you need faith in yourself, remember this image; - Set a goal that is important and interesting to you. Take the first step towards it, even a very small one. Be sure to thank yourself and move on.
