How often do we face the problem of self-sabotage. And this annoying skeptic in our head, who readily finds factual excuses for every possibility: “it’s so difficult”, “anyone but you”, “there’s no time for this”, “you’d better think about what you have to pay bills,” “take off your rose-colored glasses,” “do you still believe in these fables,” etc. And indeed, you already know a lot, understand everything, but often you never take action. Why? Who is stopping you? In fact, the availability of information and knowledge, supported by practice (experience) are two different things. We turn to experience extremely rarely, believing that there is little knowledge, few abilities, few opportunities. In general, something is not enough. Why is there potential, but no action? Why is there knowledge, but no result? Why is there understanding, but no way of life? Consider the process: The body produces a desire (need), a certain clot of energy that wants an exit (satisfaction) ). This energy is automatically translated into certain information and sent for processing to our intelligent system. The system compares it with previously stored information (past experience). A reaction to this information (emotion) is sent to the body. And if this information is negative, naturally the brain blocks any active action, since the body told it that as a result it will experience a “not good” state. What happens next? The desire never found a way out, it was not satisfied. Thinking begins about what, why, why and how, so to speak, chewing on information, thinking. But, as a rule, the process does not progress beyond reflection. Energy is spent on a process that, in principle, cannot bring results. A person begins to perceive this process as the norm, it begins to seem to him that he is performing a very important action in the form of reflection, weighing, thinking, and so on. And at this time, there are still opportunities in the world that can easily satisfy his desires. But! This is contrary to available information (experience and beliefs). Example: Masha reports that she is very tired of living alone. She has a desire to start a family. It has been there for a long time. She is attractive, smart, wealthy. Masha’s parents, although they have lived together all their lives, she has never seen joy in their relationship. And she always thought that her family would be different. A couple of attempts at a serious relationship were unsuccessful. Masha took up her career, personal development, a lot of communication, making acquaintances. But there is still no family. Masha meets a man, inside Masha there is a request to create a relationship. The brain scans new information (a man) as an option to satisfy the desire. There is a comparison and calculation of different options. The first reaction is negative, since the parental family was not happy in the relationship. But there are other examples of friends who are quite happy in their relationship. An affair begins, the relationship develops. But there is negative information specifically about serious, long-term relationships. And the brain begins to look for information on how to destroy this impending threat in the form of family relationships. Naturally, all this is expressed in behavior. Masha subconsciously finds reasons and leaves, or creates conditions for him to leave, or they still start a family, but never become close, because it is dangerous. That is, Masha decided to build harmonious relationships, but in her reality she has actual confirmation of such. Information is absent. Therefore, until she decides to create them consciously, the brain will always control her behavior based on past experience. This is why we hear so often that there are so many plans, so many ideas, so much potential, but there are no opportunities for implementation. In fact, the brain simply performs its main function - it creates conditions for survival. Because pain and negative emotions pose a danger to survival. What to do and how to get rid of self-sabotage? If there is a desire, but there is no conscious past experience, it needs to be created. Otherwise!
