The unusually fashionable word now, coaching, sounds on a par with such words as profit-loss, growth-decline. Moreover, in business circles, at meetings of personnel selection specialists, senior managers, trainers, and private entrepreneurs, this term has been known for a long time. With the help of coaching, a person’s potential is revealed, aimed at maximizing his effectiveness. Coaching is a system of ways to communicate with a person, which helps a person gain confidence in himself, his abilities and capabilities. You should look more optimistically at each person, at his hidden abilities, in order for the use of coaching to be successful. Moreover, this does not mean feigned optimism, but optimism as a personality characteristic. The most realistic opportunities for using coaching are in the workplace. The use of coaching is quite suitable in the case of motivating staff, when delegating authority, in matters of relationships, for staff development, team building, for solving problems, completing tasks, for certification, in planning and control, and in group work. The main goal of coaching is to help you use your potential correctly. Coaching can be carried out at any stage of the production process - be it preparation for work, the process of work or its completion. Sometimes coaching is attributed to the function of consultation, but this is not entirely correct; there is no advice or consultation here. Here, more questions are asked so that a person can clearly define his tasks and goals, and understand what should be done to achieve them and obtain the desired result in the shortest possible time. Coaching is not limited to certain methods that should be used in a given situation, it is a certain style in everything - in management, attitude towards people, thinking and in specific actions. Coaching is also called the mirror of our mind. Just as we put ourselves in order by preening in front of the mirror, with the help of coaching we can put the contents of our brain in order, sort it all into separate shelves. Such mirror perception helps to find new, unclaimed content, look at the situation differently, and make the most effective decision in a given situation.
