To make it clearer for you, I decided to write this short article. Negativity and fears can be divided into 3 categories: 1. Fear of actions or events. Example: Fear of flying on a plane. “There are so many plane crashes now, what if the plane crashes? That’s why I’m afraid to get on a plane.” Here “getting on a plane” - an action, and “the plane will crash” is an event. The action and the event do not necessarily have to be together, it can be one or the other. 2. Fear of one’s own states. If the fear is strong enough, then we can be afraid of fear itself. Example: I’m afraid to fly on a plane because I'm afraid. That is. For me, the fear itself is scary and the negative feelings are much greater than the fact that the plane can really crash. Why do some people commit suicide? But because the fear of their own condition becomes worse than the fear of death. A person becomes unable to endure it and it becomes easier for him to finish our life than to continue it. 3. Fear that we will not be able to control our internal state. Example: Many boys are told in childhood that men do not cry. The child’s conclusion: if I cry, then I am not a man. As a result, fear of inability appears cope with your internal state. I.e. in a certain situation, emotions rush in and a person feels that tears are about to appear. And if I cry, then I am not a man. So the fear appears that emotions and tears will get out of control. Of these 3 types, about the 2nd and the 3rd, as a rule, they don’t think, it doesn’t occur to many that this could even happen. But the 2nd and especially the 3rd type are the most powerful fears. Understanding your fear is already half the way to getting rid of it. PEAT is excellent for getting rid of all three types.
