When time pressure is overwhelming, when we spend a lot of time and effort, energy on completing current tasks, but they still pile up and are not resolved, when we don’t know what to grab onto, only this will help solve one thing - competent planning! Planning is one of the most important tools for achieving a goal. With proper planning, the efficiency of your activities increases many times. A person who is focused on increasing personal efficiency must certainly be able to plan competently. If you are faced with a problem of heavy workload and want to solve it, in this case it is better to use the daily planning method. One of the simplest and most effective ways is planning according to Eisenhower's methods. Dwight Eisenhower is an American statesman and military leader, President of the United States. Who had good organizational skills and used this matrix to plan his time. The Eisenhower matrix is used for short-term planning. For one or several days. The essence of this method is to prioritize according to the degree of importance and urgency. That is, all tasks that exist for the current period are divided into categories depending on their importance and urgency of completion. There are only four categories A, B, C, DA - urgent and important matters. Those things that need to be done first. Those that are on fire and require immediate intervention. For example, tasks in group A: Urgent tasks Projects with deadlines Urgent trip to the dentist B – important and not urgent. The affairs of this group are most often offended by our attention. Thus, as a result, they very quickly fall into category A. For example, tasks of group B: Planning new projects Studying a topic necessary to achieve the goal Evaluating results Visiting the gym C - unimportant and urgent tasks. Often we confuse them with things A. We confuse importance with urgency. The urgent seems to automatically become important. Thus, these tasks introduce turmoil, tension and time pressure into our working rhythm. As F. Taylor noted, in a well-organized enterprise, everything is done slowly, no one is running or fussing. For example, the tasks of group C: Activities not related to your goals Interruptions Some meetings Social activities D - unimportant and not urgent. Things that are not at all interesting to you. As many Category D tasks as possible should be delegated. This category also includes “wasters” of time. For example, tasks of group D: Some letters and calls Routine work Entertainment portals Social networks Watching TV How to use this planning method in your activities. Below is a step-by-step algorithm for working with the Eisenhower matrix. Write a list of all tasks for the day. Combine these tasks into four groups according to the degree of importance and urgency, A, B, C, D. Write these tasks on a form divided into 4 blocks (A, B, C , D) Keep the form constantly in sight and refer to it throughout the day. In time management, one of the important points is the ability to separate the main tasks from the secondary ones. If you use this planning method every day, then in a short time you will forget what an emergency is. Tasks from category A will be completed, freeing up time for tasks in group B. Now you can calmly focus on the most important things. Category D tasks are delegated, and time wasters must be controlled. In the future, the majority of tasks in your diary will be from group B, to which you can devote enough time. Proper organization of your time and activities will help you be a more effective person.
