Sometimes we begin to notice that our life has reached a dead end, the train of life is at a standstill, we don’t know where to move next. Reality can become unbearable, existence cannot be endured, there is no life in fantasies. Life can be in the middle, between reality and fantasy. In such difficult times, we go into creativity. Some create something with their own hands, others write paintings, poems or prose. The “Author's Fairy Tale” technique is a good helper for getting out of a difficult life situation. This is a diagnostic technique that allows the author to see the situation detachedly, as if from the outside. During the task, a problem that needs to be solved will definitely be “highlighted”. The word “psychotherapy” means “health improvement”, “care”, “treatment”. The author thus has the opportunity to take care of himself, change the picture: make a decision, turn the situation around, complete it. When we resolve our problems, we become the author of our life. Requirements for writing: Give the title of the fairy tale. Divide the fairy tale into chapters, give each chapter a title. Chapter format is 1-2 pages of A4 sheet. Allow a certain time to complete the technique, 30 minutes a day. Write the text by hand. The main advantage of typing is convenience; the action “by hand” forces us to concentrate more on what we are doing, helps us to comprehend awareness. Keep a separate observation diary. After creating each chapter, thoughts about what is happening will “catch up”; they will need to be written down in a diary. When completed, do an analysis. It is better to perform an author's fairy tale if you work together with a psychologist; you may have to face your own pain. Pain means that it is in this place that something needs to be changed, a decision must be made, but not every person has the resources for this. Advantages of the technique: - it is not demanding, does not require special equipment, to perform it you need: a comfortable place where you can be alone with your thoughts, paper and pen; - being alone with ourselves, we feel safe, where there is safety, there is sincerity, you can freely express your emotions on paper, simply be yourself; - besides, writing a fairy tale is an interesting and exciting activity, we all come from childhood. Disadvantages of the technique: - it takes a lot of time to carry out the technique and its analysis. That’s for sure, in a crisis there’s a lot of thinking.
