A topic that I became interested in over the weekend. I devoted several days to studying this topic. I have studied almost all plane crashes from the 1970s to this day. And you know what: The main causes of plane crashes are not that something in the system is faulty, faulty or broken. This happens, of course. But this does not lead to death. The main cause of disasters is the human factor. 1) The state of the person himself Was in a hurry Tired, did not get enough sleep Considers himself authoritative and experienced 2) Inconsistency of actions How important teamwork is! How important it is to be close to a person you trust. Many disasters could have been avoided if actions had been coordinated. But one does one thing, the other does another, in the end - precious time is lost and it’s already getting late. I remember the case in 2002, when the controller was unable to separate two planes TWICE. As a result, the pilots themselves noticed that they were moving towards each other. And one, guided by the recommendations of the automatic system, went to 11 thousand. And the second recommendation of the dispatcher also went to 11 thousand in order to avoid a collision. The bottom line, you and I know. 3) Ignoring instructions. One of the common causes of crashes is bad weather. But not in the sense you thought. From the plane crashes that I have studied, the pilot of the aircraft simply ignored the “go around” button or the “do not take off” recommendations. Nobody likes to hang in circles in the air. Nobody likes flight delays. Everyone needs to get there quickly. Therefore, they hope for “maybe.” This story happened when landing in Sochi. Well, the pilot didn’t want to circle over the sea and wait out the bad weather. He risked sitting down. 4) Panic When everything did not go according to plan, people begin to get lost and perform many chaotic and unnecessary actions. Which leads to irreversible consequences. You and I are not literally captains of the aircraft. But you and I are at the helm of our lives, and we behave like a passenger. We always pay attention to our condition. And if we are still in the role of a passenger. Sometimes giving up is a better benefit than what you think you will gain. The same applies to frustrations about “the flight was delayed”, “we flew for half an hour and could not land, guard.” All these things are good. Just thank this particular decision at this moment. I would like to end somehow positively. I’ll tell you a couple of cases when pilots and crew saved hundreds of lives. The first story happened in the taiga in 2010. The Alrosa Airlines Tu-154 was flying on the Udachny-Moscow route. There was a complete loss of power on board, which led to the shutdown of the on-board navigation systems. The pilots were preparing to land in the trees in the taiga; there was no other choice. And then they saw a runway suitable for landing. Everything ended well, thanks to the fact that the head of the helipad in the taiga simply took care of the abandoned aircraft runway. For years. And the second story happened in 2019, when the plane had just taken off, birds got into the turbine. The pilot decided to land in a corn field without landing gear. We saved everyone! A film based on this story should be released soon. So after this, the pilot was dragged through the authorities and checks. Someone shouted loudly that the plane could have simply turned around and landed back at the airport. Having studied so many different stories of emergency landings, even I can say that it is unknown whether such a maneuver would have turned out. I think not. The plane could have gone into a roll, something could have happened during landing without one engine. Therefore, the only correct option was to quietly land the plane without sudden movements, while it simply flies smoothly straight. All these stories are about attentiveness, about taking care of your health, about the ability to assess your strengths and abilities sensibly, about teamwork. It all starts with each of us. Take care of yourself! I invite you to marital and individual consultations on marriage and relationships. The first consultation is diagnostic and free. +79642595370 whatsapp
